Training in the Most Popular & Effective Types of Massage

We offer a 570-hour program that includes anatomy, physiology, structural kinesiology and theory, along with training in the most popular massage types. We provide demonstration of massage, hands-on training in Western medical massage, Eastern Chinese acupressure, Traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Foot Reflexology, Japanese Shiatsu, and our specialty, Traditional Thai massage. Our program also includes Deep-Tissue Massage and clinical practice. Here at Thai-Issan Massage Academy, we offer community clinical training. Our program is founded on our vision to teach you the best of what massage therapy can offer. We provide this with a “Touch of Thailand” and help you maximize your full potential to live a happy and healthy life.

Advanced classes available. We offer a discounted price of $500 (regular price $750) for Thai Massage classes with certification upon completion.

Thai-Issan Massage Academy offers morning and evening classes to best suit your schedule. Classes are held Monday to Friday, mornings from 9:00AM to 1:00PM, and evenings from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. If you have any questions related to the class schedule, please call us!

Tuition & Program Information You Need to Know

The total cost for tuition for our basic/introductory covering the 150-hour program is $3,500. The program tuition includes: Course Admission, Administration Fee, Student Kit (Books & Supplies included). Students also receive a 50% discount with a one-time payment in full!

These advanced courses may be taken separately. Certification is provided upon completion of all Advanced Courses. We also offer a 5-hour Traditional Thai Massage Course; however, no certificate is awarded after completion.

What are the Admission Requirements?

Here are the admission requirements for entry into the Thai-Issan Massage Academy. We ask that each student evaluate each item personally as you consider your willingness and ability to study and become a certified massage therapist.
  • 17 years of age or older
  • Physically able to perform massage therapy

What Do I Learn in the Massage Therapy Program?

You will learn Anatomy, Physiology, Structural Kinesiology, Theory and Demonstration of Massage which includes: The proper procedure in massaging (concerning the protection of both the client and massage therapist for the specific condition; contraindications of massage); hygiene; theory; techniques according to conditions; draping; and assessment of the client’s condition and general technique to be applied. Swedish massage, including trigger points, lymphatic drainage, prenatal massage, deep tissue, range of motion and stretching Seated Chair massages, Medical Massage, Sports massage, pre-event, post-event, rehabilitation and injury prevention, Acupressure. The hours for the general course are basic requirements for the State of Hawaii Professional and Vocational Licensing Division for Massage Therapy Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
